Team Building & Workshops

Bring your team together with a shared culinary experience

Our Events

  • What it is

A strategic, hands-on competition with no recipes, just a smartly curated pantry (proteins, starches, vegetables, and well-stocked basics). Teams must plan, prototype, and execute a cohesive meal for ~24 guests. A prize is awarded to an MVP!

    How it runs

    •Three rotating roles: Prep • Cooking & Execution • Dishes & Reset

•30-minute work blocks, with role switches every hour

•Chef mentors that coach, promote communication, timing, cleanliness, and flavor

    Outcomes

    •Collaboration under time constraints

    •Clear roles & handoffs

    •Rapid iteration and feedback loops

•A shared meal the whole group created

    Logistics

•Group size: There is a minimum event spend of $1,500, which covers up to 10 guests, 24 guests max
•After 10, additional guests are added at the rate of:

$100/person for 17-24 ppl (after min. is met)

*Tiered rates apply incrementally and are not retroactive

•Duration: 3 hours to cook, 1 hour to dine

•Held at the PARC Building in downtown Plymouth, MI

  • What it is

A roaming, chef-demonstration experience. Guests circulate between two live demo stations, ask questions, and watch professional chefs up close, then sit and enjoy a buffet-style meal. It’s perfect for networking, client entertainment, and culture-building without the pressure of cooking.

    Guest Experience

    Mingle freely; no hands-on requirement

•See techniques in real time (knife skills, sauces, searing, etc.)

•Q&A at each station; learn the why behind flavor

Your private Kalota Culinary event unfolds inside Proud Mitten at the historic PARC Building , Plymouth’s original 1917 high school. Step through the doorway of our 1940s Home Ec room, perfectly preserved, where a touch of nostalgia naturally sparks curiosity, creativity, and a readiness to learn, cook, and collaborate.

Outside, downtown Plymouth waits in all its small-town charm, twinkling lights, cozy bars, cafés, and boutiques just a short stroll away. It’s the kind of place where a night of cooking becomes a memory you carry.

The Dish From our clients

Our company had an event here. Everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. We did a competition style meal and made chicken cacciatore, an arugula white bean salad, gnocchi with a brown butter sauce and lemon cake for dessert. We even got to bring the recipes home. Would definitely do this again!

Had an amazing experience doing the competition for my bachelorette party. Chef Daniela was very knowledgeable and created a fun atmosphere!! Would recommend for birthday party’s, team building, night out!!

Our group did the cooking competition event and had a blast! They split us into two groups, and in Iron Chef tradition, we had a couple hours to prepare a multi-course meal incorporating ingredients throughout the courses. Never fear, they had recipes for us to follow with the help of a mentor chef. Afterward, we sat family style and ate our delicious food! A wonderful team-building experience! Highly recommend!
